1. Consider approving the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Mayor and Selectmen held November 27, 2007; receiving the claims docket for the second half of November, 2007, and approving said claims docket; receiving the Privilege License and the Contractor License Reports for the month of November, 2007
2. Consider approving an appeal from Charles Miller, Attorney, on the decision of the Planning Commission denying Gerald Alexander’s request to build a convenience store on his property.
3. Authorizing payment to Simmons Security, 311 Canal Street, McComb, MS 39648, for monitoring the Central Station alarm system at the Community Relations and Tourism Department for an annual amount of $180.00
4. Consider authorizing payment to Simmons Security, 311 Canal Street, McComb, MS 39648, for Quarterly Central Station monitoring/lease of alarm system for the City of McComb/Amtrak Museum in the amount of $120.00
5. Consider authorizing the deletion from surplus a Petro-Vend K-800 Two (2) hose fuel system for gasoline and diesel including fuel island controller, Asset #4366; authorizing sale to French Camp Academy, 10 Fine Place, French Camp, MS for a sale price of $250.00
6. Consider approving a request from McComb Main St. Association to Department of Community Relations & Tourism for the 2008 Iron Horse Festival sponsorship in the amount of $20,000.00
7. Consider receiving bid tabulations for construction contract West Facilities Pump Station and Force Main for the Department of Public Works, Bid #MC-03-07-024 and awarding bid to WMP Construction, Inc., (WMP) 1411 Highway 69 South, Columbus, MS 39702, in the amount of $1,111,121.77; and further authorizing issuing a notice to proceed to WMP and the execution of all necessary documents
8. Consider authorizing advertisement for proposals to provide Engineering Service for Roadway Safety/Street Signage Upgrade Project Traffic Division Grant #08-RS-300-1 for the City of McComb Public Works Department, Traffice Division Bid #MC12-07-35
9. Consider authorizing advertisement for all material pertaining to the completion of the Roadway Safety/Signage Upgrade Project, Grant #08-RS-300-1, for the City of McComb Public Works Department, Traffic Division, Bid #MC 12-07-36
10. Consider approving the transfer of $40,000.00 from line item 001-300-730 (Machinery & Equipment) in the Recreation Department Budget for the purchase of equipment to be used at the Sports Complex
11. Consider authorizing advertisement for bid on a utility mower with a bunker and field rake for use by the Recreation Department, Bid #MC-12-05-037
12. Consider authorizing payment to Neel-Schaffer, Inc., requisition #10 for CDBG Project #1122-05-244-PF-01 (Water Treatment Plant Rehab Design & Resident Inspection) in the amount of $10,444.64; and authorizing the Mayor to execute the necessary documents
13. Consider approving an agreement for annual engineering services for January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008 between the City of McComb City, MS and Neel-Schaffer, Inc., 125 South Congress Street, Suite 1100, Jackson, MS; and authorizing the Mayor
to execute the necessary documents
14. Consider authorizing a contract for sewer service to be provided for Honeysuckle Woods Subdivision from the Town of Summit, MS which an agreement was entered into regarding ownership, operation and maintenance of water and sewer services in an area adjacent to the McComb corporate limits
15. Consider approving a grant application with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality for a proposed Household Hazardous Waste Day Event to be held in May, 2008
16. Consider requesting the Mississippi State Legislature, authorized by local and private legislation, effective June 30, 1991, an act providing authority to the City of McComb City, MS to provide COLA to the municipal retirees
17. Consider receiving accepting and concurring with the Pike County Mississippi, Ordinance for Ambulance Service for the County of Pike (includes the City of McComb City) adopted by the Pike County Board of Supervisors on October 5, 2007; and approving Southwest MS Regional Medical Center as the Lead Agency
18. Announcements: City Hall will be closed 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. December 14, 2007 for their Christmas Lunch at the Sports Park
